YAY YOU'RE COMING!!!

I can't wait to see you. :)

Can't wait to see you as well! I'm glad it's so close to me this time around - only about 5 hours by car. That makes it a sure thing.

I laid out the Con program in 2006, Laura and would be happy to do something along those lines again if it would be helpful. Just let me know!

:-)

This was great news to come home to at the end of a sad, but not unexpected, day. My mom was accepted as a Hospice patient this afternoon under a general failure to thrive diagnosis. She's happy, though, in no pain and she knows us all - all very good things.

Oh, Mary, I'm so sorry about your mom. *hugs*

I'm glad Writercon is closer to you this time. We made a big effort to hit a part of the country that we hadn't been to before (which is part of why it took so long to announce--hotel negotiations are HARD!).

We haven't talked as a group about who we want to design the program guide, but I loved your work last time and would love to have you do it again. So I'll definitely put in a good word for you! And will let you know soon. Thank you so much for volunteering. :)

My feelings won't be hurt if you go another direction, but I'm definitely willing to take it on again.

Last time I printed them as well and, in exchange, the con picked up some of the cost of my Spuffy party. I think it came out pretty even...

Well...well...well. It would be like old times, wouldn't it?

Still working on my original story set in the North Woods. Not much in the way of details yet...but some work done.

I would love to room with you if you're thinking of coming up!

Glad you're getting some writing done - and I'm still available to answer Wisconsin questions to the best of my ability when needed. :-)

Yay! Minneapolis. I was praying for that. I can drive there. No freakishly expensive plane tickets that leave me stranded in O'Hare for endless hours.

With airfares so apt to be ridiculous, I had my fingers crossed for Minneapolis, too - only 5 hours by car for me! Yeah! Can't wait to see you again! :-)

WOOT! That's actually in my neck of the woods!

Mine, too - I've very excited.

I so hope you can come this year. Just the sitting around talking with other fans into the wee hours of the night is worth every penny spent.

Wow. I actually might be able to make that place and date. I've never been before, Ahhh...it might be a happening thing.

thanks for the tip,

I would love to meet you!

I've been to both of the previous WriterCon's and they are truly wonderful!

ETA: Yeah - I see you've added your name to the list at the con site! :-)

I'm so glad I stumbled on pfeifferpack's Birthday message to you. Happy Birthday, Mary.

My heart goes out to you for what you must be going through with your mother right now. My folks are in their 70s and 80s, still active and independent (knock-wood!!!!!), and when I look at them and I just want to hold on to them and not let them go. There but for the grace....

And I relate with your computer woes at work. We're getting a new computer system at work next week much to my dismay, because my job wil be harder under it's work flow. Blehhh. I keep telling myself how fortunate I am to have a job, and not be too grumpy about it.

Trey looks absolutely adorable - as huggable and lovable looking a puppy as I ever did see. I swear I can smell that new puppy smell wafting up from his Pillsbury Doughboy belly in the shot where he's on his back. I can understand how he would be an effective stress reliever. I wish you much joy of him for years to come.

I hope you've had a good birthday, and I wish all the best to you and your family.

Stay warm up there.
